Member of the Prague City Council
Vít Šimral is a member of the Prague City Council with responsibility for education, sports, science and business support. He is also a member of the Committee on European Affairs of the City of Prague.
He studied political science, history, law, historical sociology and econometrics at the universities of Brno, Prague, Leicester and Lucca. He specializes academically in issues of policy financing, transparent linking of policy and business and business intelligence. He currently works as a researcher at the Faculty of Economics of the Technical University of Liberec and at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Hradec Králové.
In 2017, he worked in the representative club of Pirates in the capital. the city of Prague as the so-called "shadow representative". In the municipal elections in October 2018, he was elected a representative of the capital. of the City of Prague, the Pirates nominated him as a member of the City Council. The City of Prague, to which he was elected at the inaugural meeting of the Prague City Council on 15 November 2018. His interests include running, theater, jazz and literature. He's a lifelong scout.
